What are the three most common thoughts when people think of the success formula? First, that success results from hard work and working for an extended period of time. The second is that it’s a result of luck. The third is that it’s simply impossible.
This blog post will explore these thoughts in-depth and detail different aspects. You’ll be able to determine which one falls into your definition of the formula for success.
Hard Work, Great Ambition.
Most people who have become successful have worked hard in their life. They’ve also had something they wanted to do or achieve very severely and have worked hard towards it. Whether it was making it big through business or becoming a university graduate, that’s how they’ve done it. That is the first part of success: hard work and great ambition.
Many successful people who have great ambition eventually end up achieving what they want to. The second part of success is luck.
Luck, Unnaturally Good Luck, the secret formula.
Successful people don’t always work hard for long periods. Many people don’t think there is a second part of success, but luck does. This is the part many people never consider when they think of success because they believe it’s impossible to get lucky and that all success can be achieved through hard work and great ambition.
The truth is that sometimes success formula is as simple as luck. Sometimes through pure chance, you meet people who are in the right place at the right time and can make your dreams come true. When this happens, great luck can easily fall into your lap with little effort on your part.
Storytime…
An excellent example of this would be a young boy growing up in an impoverished village.
One day, he’s walking around the village market and meets a traveler. The traveler is impressed by his intellect and sees his potential. He then decides to take the boy in and raise him. This could be one of the most incredible things that ever happen to this boy, as it will allow him to escape his village and pursue his dreams.
Later, he meets another traveler who sees his potential and sees the potential for other young children. So, he takes the boy under his wing and leads him toward helping other young children escape their villages and pursue their dreams.
Because the boy grew up in poverty, he probably didn’t have any extra clothes. His new mentor sees this problem and arranges for a tailor to come in and make some new clothes for the boy.
As the tailor is leaving, he slips a length of fabric into his pocket. The boy then meets another traveler who gives him a gift of cloth from an exotic land, provoking his intellect and spurring him to learn more about how the world works.
Does this sound like the story of someone who earned his success through hard work and ambition? Or does it sound like the story of someone who got incredibly lucky with specific events, even if he was always motivated and worked hard?
You Know You’re Lucky When…
You need to go beyond hard work and great ambition to be successful. To be successful, you may also need a lot of luck. Luck plays the most prominent role in success, but it’s not impossible to achieve without luck.
For example, a person who achieves success will understand the importance of excellent planning and taking small steps towards their goals. You need to have a strong drive for your goal and be willing to work hard for an extended period of time towards that goal.
You can only stay motivated by being realistic about your goal, taking things one step at a time, and never giving up. Without the compassion to help others, motivation will disappear, and the ability to work hard will decrease.
Luck plays a role in success, but you can’t always rely on it to achieve your success. Chance comes from something you do that is hard for other people. You can have luck without effort by reaching out to others and making those around you happy. Through this plan of action, your future will be shaped in ways that you could never have dreamt of.
For me, the success formula(Achievement) is Preparation (Hard work), meeting opportunity (luck), or in another effective strategy: A Clear Vision, translated into an effective Goal and put into massive action called habits.
When I set a goal in the future as a career path, I don’t sit around and wait for something to happen to me. I do everything I can before that time to prepare myself for what will happen as career challenges.
By doing this, I make sure that luck is not simply what leads me toward my ambitious goal. It happens because of hard work and ambition combined with the right opportunity to come into my life, embracing different career journeys.
